Cassidy Darkstar set out from Dolanaar in Teldrassil with a companion at his side: Rambleon, a hunter, who went with him through the first long stretch of the road and shared in its labours. At Dolanaar, Cassidy saw the matter of the Gnarlpine Corruption brought to its end, and he took up new errands in its place: The Relics of Wakening, and the gathering of Soft Saber Pelts. By the waters of Lake Al'Ameth he completed the task called Denalan's Earth. In the woods beyond, he took the three Nightsaber fangs that Zenn had asked of him, and there for the first time he overcame the Webwood Lurker, the Nightsaber and the Nightsaber Stalker. The way was not without its falls, but each time he rose again at Dolanaar and went back to his work.
By the shore of Lake Al'Ameth, among the Timberlings, Cassidy came into new strength and reached his sixth level, and a picture was taken to mark it. With Rambleon still beside him he gathered twelve Timberling Sprouts and eight Timberling Seeds. When those errands were done the two companions parted with courtesy, each to his own road. One seed Cassidy kept, for he was bidden to carry it to Rellian Greenspyre in Darnassus. Alone now, he went up to Starbreeze Village and filled the Jade Phial for the errand called Crown of the Earth. He gathered the silk of the Webwood spiders and so finished Zenn's Bidding. Then, in the manner of his people, he called upon Elune's Light and passed into Shadowmeld, as The Goddess Provides had taught him. After that he sat down near the campfire, as The Great Outdoors required, and took his ease. Returning to Dolanaar, he laid the first part of Crown of the Earth to rest and grew stronger yet, reaching his seventh level.
His road bent westward after that, to Ban'ethil Hollow, where he first met the Gnarlpine Ambushers and took up the Bounty on the Gnarlpine Furbolg. He came at last to the threshold of Darnassus and marked the moment with a picture, though he did not linger there. He turned aside to the Pools of Arlithrien, where he filled the Tourmaline Phial and overcame a Gnarlpine Shaman and a Webwood Venomfang. Back in Ban'ethil Hollow, six Ambushers fell before him, and so The Road to Darnassus was cleared.
Then Cassidy entered the city in earnest. He completed The Sisterhood of Elune and went to the Temple of the Moon, where he took up Eyes of the Sentinels and Tears of the Moon. In the Cenarion Enclave he gave the Timberling Seed into the keeping of Rellian Greenspyre, and in return he received the errand called Tumors. For a brief while Ojoz, a druid of his own calling, walked beside him beyond the gate. After that Cassidy took to the city's terraces with patient care, seeking out the Craftsmen's Terrace Inn, the entrance to the depths of the Cenarion Hold, the Darnassus Bank and the City Gate, until the sentinels' charge was answered. Then he went down again out of Darnassus, and his feet brought him once more to Dolanaar, where many roads of Teldrassil begin.
